In this one-hour DVD, David Perry and Kevin Donlin reveal the secrets to a successful job search. They lead viewers all the way through the finish line, not just to find any job, but the right job. Why is the System titled the “Guerilla Job Search System“? Because the methods advocated go off beaten paths to ensure results. We read everywhere that in order to find a job, we have to stand out, yet, most of us go through the same routine. The word says it all. If we go through the same “routine,” how are we or rather how can we truly stand out? One of the key differentiations made in the DVD is that job seekers should try to distinguish “efficient” job search from “effective” job search. That differentiation is key because it shatters what most job seekers rely upon as a measure of success… the number of resumes sent out in a day or a week, as opposed to how many interviews or meetings were obtained.
What is the most striking about this DVD is that it transforms the passive job search into an active one where the job seeker is in control. We learn through this DVD that having the right attitude and state of mind is key to success. Job searching is not complicated, but requires hard work, commitment and the right approach. Hard work and commitment alone is not enough however. Without the right approach, you can be heading the wrong direction without realizing it or, by the time you do, you will have wasted months or years of your life. There was actually this example in the DVD of an individual who tried to look for work for seven years without results until he adopted the Job Search Guerilla System. What makes the System compelling is that the methods advocated are not empty words, but have worked for real people.
Finding work is only part of a successful job search. The other part is whether the job is one that fits your needs and allows you to realize your full potential. If you have tried in vain to look for work, you should try out the techniques suggested in the Guerilla Job Search System DVD. If you want to find rewarding work as opposed to accepting the first job that comes your way, the DVD would also be a good idea.
